Foxconn introduced three new electric vehicles today at an event: a sedan, an SUV, and a bus.

The production powerhouse looks to be flexing its muscles in preparation for becoming a supplier for other electric car brands.

The company has recently made a number of moves in the EV industry.

It launched an open-source hardware and software system for EV manufacturing last year and plans to develop a solid-state battery by 2024.

Foxconn even bought the majority of Lordstown's facility in Ohio to build electric cars earlier this month.

Furthermore, the industrial powerhouse is building a large factory in Wisconsin, which will create electric vehicles.

Today, Foxconn introduced three new electric vehicles as part of its new "commitment to become a worldwide next-generation car company" at its Hon Hai Tech Day 2021 (HHTD21) event:

Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn), a global leader in smart manufacturing, today launched the Model C recreational vehicle, the Model E car, and the Model T electric bus, all of which were designed autonomously. Hon Hai's goal to being a global next-generation car was shown during the live streamed Hon Hai Tech Day 2021 (HHTD21) event.

Apart from the electric bus, it appears that Foxconn does not plan to promote the electric cars under its own "Foxtron" name.

It would be especially difficult with Ford-owned model names like "Model E."

Tesla even wanted to use the trademark, which is not actively used by Ford, but the manufacturer decided to sue Tesla, prompting the electric automaker to change its name to "Model 3."

Instead, Foxconn looks to be displaying its electric car manufacturing prowess by positioning itself to create vehicles for Lordstown, Fisker, and even Apple, its largest partner.

Here's everything you need to know about each vehicle Foxconn has released:

Foxtron Model C

The Model C is the first car to be created on Hon Hai's open platform for electric vehicles, and it is marketed as an organically designed electric SUV with pure electric nature. Shape, space, power, and energy usage are the four main features of the Model C. Its design is not only minimalist in appearance, but it also reduces the amount of space necessary for mechanical components while increasing seating space. The Model C is 4.64 metres long with a 2.86 meters wheelbase, with comfortable seating for 5+2 people and plenty of storage space, making it easier to navigate crowded metro areas while still enjoying the luxury of a larger car.

With a low drag coefficient of 0.27, the Model C speeds from 0 to 100 km in 3.8 seconds and has a range of 700 km. Consumers may enjoy a pure electric SUV with high performance, high efficiency, high intelligence, low energy consumption, and vast room at a reasonable price equivalent to a petrol or diesel car thanks to the open platform sharing advantages.

Foxtron Model E

The Model E is a technologically advanced luxury flagship sedan designed jointly by Hon Hai and Italian design firm Pininfarina that can suit the needs of moderate and high-end buyers. At the same time, it is the top-of-the-line option for enterprises. With personal mobile devices easily connected to the passenger car, the back seat can be converted into a dedicated mobile office, enabling a variety of smart applications such as face recognition door opening, smart windows, and vehicle and environment interfaces.

In addition to luxury and comfort, the Model E delivers a power output of around 750 horsepower and speeds from zero to 100 km in 2.8 seconds, faster than comparable models on the market and almost as fast as a Formula One racing car. The Model E also offers a 750 km range, which helps to reduce most electric car owners' range worries.

Foxtron Model T

The Model T is a stylish urban bus that is positioned as an intelligent transportation solution. The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulations and standards are met by its high rigid body design and protection. The Model T has also completed 200,000 km of speed endurance testing and over 1,000 hours of rigid strength testing at the Automotive Research & Testing Center (ARTC), ensuring the safety of both drivers and passengers.

The Model T's battery can handle temperatures of up to 400 degree Temps and a range of more than 400 km in terms of energy consumption and durability. Under full load conditions, the maximum climbing capacity is 25%, and the maximum speed is 120 km/h, giving drivers a peaceful and smooth driving experience while also providing passengers with a comfortable and safe journey.
