Tesla (TSLA) is building a huge new delivery centre in China, indicating that big things are on the way.

Tesla (TSLA) has created a new huge delivery centre in Beijing, maybe the world's largest, as it expected big things in the important market.

Tesla has changed its retail strategy several times over the years.

We reported earlier this summer that Tesla was launching a new retail strategy that included closing locations in high-rent areas and focusing on larger delivery facilities.

The manufacturer will start to hire more remote personnel who will handle the sale and delivery experience from a "virtual central store," sending customers to less expensive but larger locations for test drives and deliveries.

Some of those locations will be totally dedicated to delivering cars purchased online through that process.

Tesla has now completed and launched one of, if not the world's largest, delivery centres.

As you can see, the Model Y delivery centre, which just opened, is already full.

Tesla is opening the new delivery centre at the same time that it starts deliveries of a new, less expensive Model Y.

The Model Y Standard Range, which is no longer available in the United States, starts at $276,000, or $42,500 USD.

The electric SUV is already popular in China, but the increased pricing, which is made possible by a $15,840 EV credit because it starts at under $300,000, is likely to make the Model Y even more popular.

Tesla is likely to have a lot more deliveries to make in China in the coming weeks, with Gigafactory Shanghai becoming an export hub and focus on exports during the first part of the quarter.

This new delivery centre is part of the new capacity that will be required to handle the increased demand.

Since vehicle production was delayed early in the quarter, CEO Elon Musk has been warning employees that this month will be difficult for deliveries.

The company's success in China is found to be strong in completing a strong quarter.
